Olivetti Pentax Logos 7


Brand: Olivetti, this is an OEM version for Pentax.
Model: Logos 7.
Origin: Ivrea, Italy.
Introduction: 1978, this example was built in 1979 (please see Showa dates on pictures).
Type: Desktop calculator with VFD display and thermal printer. There is a version without printer, the Logos 3.
Functions: 4-Basic function, memory, constant, date and hour calculations. Operates with AC power or 4 AA batteries for travel.
Display: One VFD tube with 12 digit + digit for indicators. Also, has a thermal printer with 12 characters + indicators. The older brother Logos 3 has only a printer, no display.
Keyboard: 27 colored keys, 4 sliding switches for DPDP, 059, +02FLHD and ACC (More info soon!), On/Off switch.
Main chips: NEC D1208G with datecode (?) 826 (July 1978?).
Remarks: This was the first pocket size calculator from Olivetti, a beauty design from Mario Bellini inspired in the shape of the Olivetti's Lexikon 82 typewriter, also designed by Bellini in 1972. The left and right sides are rounded in order to make ease the insertion and removal from the soft case. The top and bottom edges are straight. The result is an elegant portable calculator.
Size: 6.61 x 3.86 x 1.73 in, 168 x 98 x 44 mm.
Condition: (8/10) Very Good, some marks on casing, working.
